Revelation the Second Seal

Rev 6:3 When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!” Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a large sword.

Let’s review the meaning from these words to see if we can get any clarity from them

The rider was given power to take peace from the earth and create war. Since all the seals represent world-wide movements this would present itself as a world-wide war. Now if the first seal started during the 1800’s and revealed itself as a world-wide governmental movement that brought colonization and the gospel to many nations, then we should be asking ourselves; What happened after that? Well, in 1914 we have World War I and continued with World War II from 1938 to 1945. That’s almost a 30-year time span of continual warfare. Yes, I think that qualifies quite nicely as a fulfillment of the second seal.

The bigger question is, did God start a World-wide war? And if he did, what purpose did he have behind it?

First of all, let’s remember what God wants to do here. His whole purpose is to restore the earth and bring us back into a right relationship with him. Second of all, God has an adversary called the Devil who is trying with all his power to stop gods work on the face of the earth. So let’s investigate this a little bit.

World War I

World- War I started On 28 June 1914, when a Serbian named Gavrilo Princip, one of a group of six assassins (five Serbs and one Bosniak) coordinated by Danilo Ilić, a Bosnian Serb and a member of the Black Hand secret society, assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the prince of Austria, and his wife, Sophie, Duchess of Hohenberg. The current Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph was aged 84, so the assassination of his heir, so soon before he was likely to hand over the crown, was seen as a direct challenge to Austrian sovereignty.

In response, Austria edges towards war with Serbia. The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the heir apparent to the Austrian throne, sent deep shockwaves through Austrian elites, and the murder has been described as a "9/11 effect, a terrorist event charged with historic meaning, transforming the political chemistry in Vienna.”

It quickly emerged that three leading members of the assassination squad had spent long periods of time in Belgrade, they had only recently crossed the border from Serbia, and were carrying weapons and bombs of Serbian manufacture. They were secretly sponsored by the Black Hand, whose objectives included the liberation of all Bosnian Slavs from Austrian rule, and masterminded by the Head of Serbian Military intelligence, Apis.

Austria-Hungary has an alliance with Germany and Italy, while Serbia has an alliance with Russia, France and Britain, so what should have been a war between two states turns into World War I.

The war began in the Balkans in late July 1914 and ended in November 1918, leaving 17 million dead and 20 million wounded. As it turned out, World War I only a primer for an even larger conflict in World War II.

World War II

The two dates most often mentioned as “the beginning of World War II” are July 7, 1937, when the “Marco Polo Bridge Incident” led to a prolonged war between Japan and China, and September 1, 1939, when Germany invaded Poland, which led Britain and France to declare war on Hitler's Nazi state in retaliation.

Hitler’s plans were nothing short of world domination and to exterminate the Jews. Since the devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy, there’s no doubt in my mind that Hitler was demonically oppressed. After reading up on it, Hitler was introduced into the occult when he was 15. He also received a prophetic word from the secret society that he would bring great change all across Europe.

Since we don’t want to rely on the opinions of a few reports about Hitler’s life, the best way to make a judgment is to base it on the fruit in someone’s life. Jesus said that good trees will bear good fruit and bad trees will bear bad fruit. Hitler’s unmerciful killing is very bad fruit and his plans to exterminate the Jews, was nothing short of agreeing with Satan. God told us in his word to Abraham that I will bless those that bless you and curse those that curse you. So all you have to do is look at how a nation treats Israel and you will know if they stand with God or not.

World War II went from September 1, 1939 – September 2, 1945. In that time, it affected every nation on the earth. The total number of people killed in this war varies from 50 million to 80 million if you count all the civilians.

Summary

First of all, if God wanted to start a war to judge people for their sins he would be totally justified in doing so. Our god is a righteous god and he is also a good judge. and there have been times in the past where God has started a war to bring judgment upon a nation.

On the surface, it doesn’t look like God had anything to do with starting this war, although once it's started, God definitely had his way in finishing the war because people started to pray and ask for gods help. It is Gods desire to restore the earth and root out corruption by removing evil dictators from power but, He's given the earth to man, so man has to be instrumental in making that change. God will not over-ride mans will. God is currenty is change of the universe and everything is being governed quite well, but God has given the earth to man so man can learn how to govern properly. Remember God is raising a family and the family is royalty. They will know how to govern properly. Unfortunately man has tried to govern without gods help and that's gotten us into a lot of trouble. Now it's always been gods desire for man to ask for gods help while governing the earth. I recommend we do so frequently.

If God didn't start the war, how could the second seal so clearly predict the future ? Does god know his enemy Satan so well that he can predict what his plans are before they are executed? It sure looks that way. This war was created to place the German dictator in as a world-wide leader calling all the shots for all the nations. Now that sounds like Satan, take a few people and rule the world by taking away all their freedom and religious liberties. Forcefully stop them from pursuing God and kill anyone resisting you.

On the other side you have God, who wants freedom and liberty for everyone. He provides everyone with freedom of choice and doesn’t try to force his rule on anyone. In this war, God did raise up a standard against Hitler; nations that would stand for freedom and liberty for all.

To those open to the spiritual ream, there’s a bigger war going on here than just World War II. It’s a spiritual war with angels, demons, God and Satan, all trying to bring influence the human race. God says, choose this day, who you will serve, God or Satan.

The good news in all this is that we, the people of the earth, can create our own destiny. If everyone was following God, there would be no crime, no killing, no wars, and Satan and his demons would be given the eviction notice and forced to leave the Earth. The only way Satan can express himself is that he has to have people in agreement with him. So the people of the earth do have a choice. We can decide our own destiny.

The Second seal is over, the Third seal is at hand.
